Jocelyn & Ellen are a dynamic North American fiddle & cello duo, seamlessly interweaving traditional melodies from the US, Canada, Scotland, and Ireland, with innovative original compositions.
Released in 2022, their album, All It Brings, is hailed as "dazzling" (FolkWorld), and "simply exquisite" (Folk London).
Catch them on tour for an engaging show of high-energy tunes and soulful songs, with nuanced fiddle-cello interplay, vocal harmonies, lively stepdancing, and French Canadian foot percussion.
Joining forces in Glasgow in 2018, Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira were already two well-established musicians, who found together a kindred musical spirit. With Jocelyn on fiddle and Ellen on cello, they fuse traditional and contemporary music styles to create a powerfully uplifting and soulful performance.
On stage, their instruments weave a rhythmic, textured sound with nuanced fiddle-cello interplay. Complemented with vocal harmonies and lively stepdancing, they bring life and fire into original tunes, and high-energy repertoire from Scotland, Ireland, North America, and Scandinavia. FolkWorld Magazine calls them "A dazzling duo!".
Past notable performances include: Celtic Colours International Festival (Nova Scotia), Celtic Connections (Scotland), Urkult Festival (Sweden), New World Festival (VT), Sutton Traditional Fiddle Festival (Québec), Summerfolk (Ontario), Edinburgh Castle, and live broadcasts on BBC Radio.

Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.
